This two-day course is aimed at practitioners wishing to expand their skills to include the theory of anorectal assessment of male and female pelvic floor muscles related to lower bowel dysfunction. The course will be held at the de Smit Medical offices near Bristol which provide both a classroom and a clinical environment. Participants are taught the theory supporting the assessment of lower bowel dysfunction and gain practical experience in the clinical assessment of anorectal function, including posterior pelvic floor muscle function via an abdominal and anorectal examination.
